Two Individuals Accused for Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.

Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
